District heating and cooling and geothermal energy offered vital options to decarbonise the heating and cooling sector and reduce the dependency on energy imports in Europe. Although these concepts have a long tradition of use in Europe, they still cover a niche with a significant potential for market growth in the upcoming years.
The Geothermal District Heating and Cooling Days 2026 is organised by the European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC), in collaboration with the Geothermal Association of Ireland (GAI), in association with the GreetGeo Project (Funded by the European Union).
